What we keep, and why.
You record your voice. We turn it into a post you publish. That is the whole product, and the data we hold follows from it.
What we collect
Your phone number, through our sign-in provider (Clerk), so you can sign in with a text-message code. A password you choose at sign-up, stored only by Clerk. Your name if you give one.
Your recordings, their transcripts, and the posts written from them. These are the content you create and publish.
Your blog settings: handle, blog title and description, writing instructions, and a custom domain if you add one.
The loudness level of a recording, measured on your phone, so silent takes are rejected instead of published.
How we use it
Recordings are sent to OpenAI to be transcribed and written up. OpenAI processes them under its API terms and does not use API data to train its models.
Published posts, their audio, and your RSS feed are public at your blog address. Anyone with the link can read and listen. You can make a post private or delete it from the app at any time, which removes the audio and the text.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your content with anyone except the providers named here, and only to run the service.
Where it lives
Data is stored on Railway (hosting and database, United States). Sign-in is handled by Clerk. Transcription and writing by OpenAI. Email to us goes through Migadu.
Your choices
Delete any recording from the app and its audio, transcript and post are gone. To delete your account and everything in it, email hello@thisvoiceofyours.com with the phone number you signed up with and we do it within seven days.
